A structured, concentrated red with ripe, full, blackcurrant and plum flavours. Bordeaux-style, with a modern twist. Packs a punch!

More info : Produced from 50/50 Merlot and Cabernet Franc, this delicious red is produced on the Chateau des Eyssards estate in the area of Bergerac, inland from Bordeaux. The wine displays many of the characteristics of modern red Bordeaux wines, but at a lower price point, delivering really great value for money. Oak ageing brings spice, complexity and fine-grained tannins to the wine, which is rich, densely fruity and velvety-textured.
Winery : Chateau Billot is produced on a stunning 40-hectare estate in the beautiful countryside around the town of Bergerac. Owner Pascale Cuisset is acknowledged as one of the best up-and-coming winemakers of the area. He believes that whilst technology is important, the skill of the winemaker is paramount in producing wines that stand out from the rest. He successfully combines tradition with modern techniques to produce wines with real character and heritage that appeal to today’s wine drinkers.
