Description
The Millet famil believe that :”The vine is a family affair. The current generation’s grandparents and great-grandparents worked the vines and cultivated the land, but it was not until the 1970s, during the boom in Sancerre wines in Paris, that the vineyard became an activity in its own right.
In 1981, Daniel and Josette Millet built a cellar on a piece of land called “La Gemière”, and the Domaine “la Gemière” was born… They started out with 8 hectares and developed a wine faithful to their image.
Since 2000, their two sons, Sébastien and Nicolas, have joined the family farm to work the 18 hectares of vines that the estate currently has. The first works in the cellar, the second in the vineyard. They thus perpetuate the tradition and modernize the estate but always with a deep respect for their “terroirs”.
