Producer: New Hall is one of England’s oldest and largest vineyards, established by the Greenwood family in 1969. A formative stint in Alsace has inspired the winemaker, Piers Greenwood, to produce some remarkably flavoursome, multi-layered still wines, while the sparkling wines demonstrate the suitability of these Essex slopes for classic English fizz.

Vineyard: There are seventy-eight hectares of vines at New Hall, planted to no fewer than nineteen varieties, each selected to optimise the potential of its particular site.

Winery: The wine was fermented in temperature-controlled stainless steel vats.

Taste:A flavoursome, multi-layered Pinot Gris offering rich peach-pear fruit within a crisp, delicate English structure. Delightful balance and real character make this a brilliant showcase for Essex winemaking.
