Description
A pugnacious vin de terroir, a rustic tangle of humus and farmyard aromas, flavours of dark cherries, figs and pepper. Its flattering aromas of black fruits enhanced by a spicy touch persist in the mouth and accompany the velvety tannins.
Le Domaine Berthoumieu was founded in 1859 by Virgile Dutour, in the area known as Viella dans le Gers, in the South of France, nesar Auch (and Pau). After several generations, Marie-Line & Didier Barré took over and brought the aulity of the wines up to be recognised as appelation wines.
Claire and Marion Bortolussi, two sisters united in a passion for wine, then took over and are keen to continue this work that began more than 150 years ago while bringing their personal vision of what the great wines of the South-West are
This cuvée’s name, “Constance”, refers to the Dame de Coeur of d’Artagnan. In its image, this wine has character.
