Description
Tbis wine is from the Khaketi region of Georgia.
Kakheti is the most important wine region in Georgia in quantitative, qualitative and even historic terms. Almost three-quarters of the country’s wine grapes are grown here, on land that has been used for viticulture for thousands of years.
The soil, ‘cinnamonic’, is a sandy, reddish-coloured clay. The high iron content givea depth of flavour and rustic, earthy notes to the local wines.
The white wines are Rkatsiteli and Kakhuri Mtsvani grapes. Wine is produced using the traditional Kakhetian methods of extended skin contact and no filtration, and is getting greater focus with the resurgence of Orange Wine.
