Description
Oldenburg Vineyards lies in an elevated area of outstanding beauty, Banghoek Valley, which means “scary corner” due to the roaming leopards.
Only 8 kilometres from Stellenbosch on the road to Franschhoek, you will find their vineyards surrounded by a spectacular mountain amphitheatre.
At the heart of the farm lies Rondekop – their iconic, round hill which influences the vineyards planted on and around it.
In 2003 current owner and entrepreneur, Adrian Vanderspuy, acquired Oldenburg from his grandmother. He began analyzing the terroir and climate before replanting
<CL° means ‘cooler than Stellenbosch’, a play on words by Oldenburg Vineyards as their vineyards are at altitude. This white blend has a nose of stone fruit that reigns supreme with white peaches and apricot. The palate displays a zesty acidity balanced out by a slight creamy and buttery texture. Crunchy green apple is also evident. A top blend!
