To give you a flavour of the great wines Portugal has to offer, this case contains one bottle of each of the following wines:
Marques de Lara Vinho Verde (white)
Floral, citrus and gentle tropical aromas lead on to a palate with sherbet lemon acidity, a touch of mango and a bright mineral finish.
Quinta do Portal Colheita White
This fine white wine from the Douro Valley is the result of a careful blend of different grape varieties. After fermentation the wine was left in contact with its lees till bottling in order to develop complexity and richness.
It has elegant aromas of apricot and grapefruit. It has a very crisp refreshing feel. Serve chilled as apéritif or with fish and shellfish dishes
Marques de Lara Alvarinho
Bright citrus aromas with hints of mandarin. Fresh and lively on the palate with citrus characters, textural stone fruit and appealing minerality on the finish.
Alianca Bairrada Reserva (red)
Attractive mixed berry aromas with spice notes. Vibrant plum and black cherry on the palate with liquorice hints, elegant tannins, and finely poised acidity. A medium-bodied, vibrant and wonderfully drinkable glass of red.
Quinta Da Pedra Cavada Reserva 2019
This blend is made from Douro Superior grapes at different altitudes using Touriga Nacional, Touriga Franca, Tinto Roriz and Tinto Cão and has been partially aged in oak. A gorgeous, rich, and well-balanced Douro Valley red with great acidity. The perfect gastronomy wine. It has weight, structure and a purity of black fruit, reminiscent of a Cabernet Sauvignon, but a herbal note like a Malbec. The texture is silky, rich and firm with nice integrated oak. It has remarkable length and a fabulous long finish.
And a great bottle of white port with which we can make geat cocktails.
Portal Fine White Port
A blend of Malvasia Fina, Viosinho and Gouveio. We age the wine for three years in old barrels where it acquires its burnt honey colour, floral aromas of rose petals and white peaches along with some orange zest and almonds.
