Penny first got involved in wine when her father started making it from local fruit, and fermenting it in large jars in the airing cupboard! From there, she progressed to living and working with a Spanish Cava producing family near Barcelona. To this day, when asked, and even when not, she will wax lyrical about the merits of Cava over other sparkling wines -with the exception of Digby of course!
Penny has worked in many different product fields, with quality being her main focus, and creating the best offer for the consumer, with that something extra! Recently she has been working with some of our supplier wineries to prepare tours and special events which we will offer our customers.
At the moment, having recently returned from a trip to a winery in Tuscany, Italian wines are featuring heavily in her wine rack and on her dinner table!
