Description
Petit Chablis isn’t really that “petit” (small). The Gueguen’s version is lively with fresh acidity and succulent sweet orchard fruit such as pears and red apple, with a touch of lemon and lime zest. A delicious wine to try on its own, with oysters (!) or at the beginning of a meal to get the appetite going. But also great with soft cheeses, and fish.
Domaine Gueguen’s Petit Chablis offers a wonderful freshness in a rich vintage. This moderately simple but flavoursome wine opens up with notes of smoky gunflint that is further fleshed out by red apples and lime. This is really appealing as an everyday coiffer. Unlike some other Petit Chablis, the grapes for this wine are grown on the region’s famous Kimmeridgian soil.
