Description
Our case of wine chosen to accompany Easter Lunch contains one bottle of each of the following:
St Peyre Viognier (France) -This is a floral spicy white with aromas of wild peach blossom, mango, pineapple and citrus. There are luscious apricot and honeysuckle flavours with some steely mineralit
Vondeling Chardonnay (South Africa) – barrel aged, this chardonnay has a bright hue with a golden straw colour with a lovely aroma that reminds us of pear and peach blossoms with subtle lemon meringue and notes of freshly rolled oats. A full-bodied wine with great palate tension. Crisp apple and chalky citrus are infused with mild layers of Crème Brulé, spun sugar and floral potpourri. The flavours are vibrant, and the finish refined.
Tectonia Grenache Petit Syrah Mouvedre (Chile) -This wine has an intense violet hue. A wine with body and structure; rich, velvety and energetic tannins. Good balance of fruit and wood. The finish is elegant, complex and persistent.
Il Tenuta Chianti Reserva (Italy) – Fruity, red and black berries (red currants, black currants, sour cherry, black cherry, peach skin). Rhubarb root, quinine and liquorice.
Figuero 4 (Ribero del Duero, Spain) – made from the Tempranillo grape this wine has a cherry-red colour with violet highlights. THe intense blackberries and red berries smell also has hints of liquorice and pepper. Delicious
Elle et Lui Rosé (France) – in a beautiful bottle, this light pink wine is Summer in a bottle; a very pale pink colour with silvery glints. It has subtle aromas of white fruits and tangerine notes on the nose.
